Job summary

FIELD (Farmworker Institute of Education & Leadership Development) seeks a High School Teacher for adult student learners, bilingual in Spanish. The role involves delivering core content online or in a self-contained classroom, using language acquisition strategies to support diverse adult learners.

The teacher will utilize Canvas for online courses, assess progress, and collaborate with counselors to guide career opportunities and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Credentials: multiple subject or single subject required; eligible to obtain credential.
• CLAD/BCLAD or CTC authorization to teach English learners.
• Experience with rural farm working communities preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons across multiple subjects for diverse adult learners in a self-contained classroom or online.
• Observe, assess, and support adult learners’ progress online or in-class.
• Deliver online courses using Canvas LMS and grade coursework.
• Maintain a classroom-gradebook and timely records.
• Collaborate with school counselor to discuss employment and continuing education.
• Create culturally relevant online classes for diverse backgrounds.
