Servicios de La Raza Inc. seeks an Enrollment Specialist Bilingual to assist individuals, youth, and families in obtaining affordable health coverage, including Medicaid/CHP+, and marketplace subsidies.

The role involves counseling, enrollment facilitation, and community education to improve access to care. The specialist will tailor guidance to client circumstances, track outcomes, and coordinate referrals while supporting equity and outreach initiatives within the nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a community-serving nonprofit setting preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess healthcare benefit program needs and determine eligibility for programs.
• Facilitate enrollment in Medicaid/CHP+, marketplace subsidies, and other low-cost options.
• Provide in-person, virtual, and phone assistance tailoring guidance to client circumstances.
• Educate communities about health benefit options and the ACA.
• Coordinate referrals to brokers and community resources to link clients to care.
• Support clients through appeals, grievances, or complaints regarding healthcare.
• Develop follow-up plans to ensure enrollment retention and identify gaps.
• Maintain knowledge of state coverage changes and agency procedures.
• Accurately track health enrollment applications and outcomes.
• Contribute ideas for program improvements based on client data.
• Support agency outreach, fundraising, and ambassador efforts.
