Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. (PPWI) is hiring a Bilingual Health Care Assistant at the Mitchell Street location to support patients seeking sexual and reproductive health care.

This 40-hour/week role includes interviewing, screening, educating, and preparing patients for appointments, along with front desk duties and medical administrative tasks. Ideal candidates are fluent in English/Spanish, possess strong customer service, and have experience with EHR systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification from an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Experience in reproductive health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology or related medical/surgical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance, enroll patients in payor sources and collect fees.
• Document patient history in EHR and obtain signatures on consent forms.
• Assist clinical staff during exams and procedures and provide patient support.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist with supply inventory and stock rooms with necessary supplies.
