Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, Texas is seeking a Grocery Clerk for the 012 Houston‑Lyons location (ages 16‑17). Join our Store Operations Team to help customers, stock displays, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

Candidates should be bilingual in Spanish and English, able to lift up to 60 pounds, and comfortable working nights and weekends. Basic computer skills, including Outlook, are a plus. This on-site entry-level role offers a friendly team and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and writing Spanish/English.
• Ability to read product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags.
• Experience lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced grocery or retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and support community needs.
• Assist customers, clean display cases, shelves, and self-serve displays.
• Work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.
• Perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds), bending, stooping, and other physical tasks required in a fast-paced grocery environment.
• Understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence or memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and employees in one-on-one or small group settings.
