Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Checker for Store 012 Houston Lyons (ages 16-17). You will provide fast, friendly checkout, handle cash registers, and help keep the store running smoothly in a busy grocery environment.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication, the ability to lift up to 60 pounds when needed, and a willingness to interact with customers and coworkers daily.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, and interact with the public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service per company standards and process sales quickly and accurately.
• Perform cash register operations and safeguard company assets; assist with physical duties as needed.
