Job summary

Nissin seeks a Japan Sales Assistant in Van Buren Township, MI to support import/export operations across multiple 3PL services, coordinating air, ocean, and trucking logistics for diverse commodities.

You will handle data entry, liaise with U.S. regulators such as FDA, USDA, and AFHIS, communicate with overseas carriers and Nissin branches, prepare documentation, quote rates, and assist in sales development; periodic travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.
• 0-2 years food/logistics experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Oracle freight software desired; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Input air and ocean export data accurately.
• Coordinate with U.S. regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, AFHIS).
• Communicate with overseas carriers and Nissin branches.
• Support sales development and generate new customer accounts.
• Handle export/import logistics documentation (B/L, invoices, packing lists).
• Provide rate quotations to customers.
• Follow TSA packaging regulations and repackaging practices.
• Travel to fields for product quality inspections.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
