Job summary

JC Superior Logistics Group LLC is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator / Freight Forwarder in Houston, TX to manage day-to-day international freight forwarding operations, primarily ocean import/export. You will coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and drayage providers to ensure timely delivery for commercial clients.

The role requires hands-on experience in ocean freight forwarding, strong knowledge of shipping documents, and fluency in English with Mandarin or Spanish for daily

Qualifications

• Verifiable hands-on experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or NVOCC operations.
• Solid understanding of international shipping documentation (MBL/HBL, ISF, Arrival Notices), Incoterms, and U.S. Customs entry processes.
• Proficiency with freight management software (CargoWise, Magaya) and MS Office.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin or English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of Houston port operations and local drayage networks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end ocean import/export shipments (FCL & LCL) from origin to destination across U.S. and Canada.
• Maintain daily operational communication with 30+ overseas partners regarding shipment status, bookings, container releases, and documentation.
• Liaise with ocean carriers, terminal operators, Customs brokers, and drayage providers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and container transfers.
• Review and prepare B/L instructions, arrival notices, invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, and customer invoicing.
• Track cargo status, troubleshoot delays, detention issues, to minimize costs and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Provide status updates and consultative logistics advice to clients and vendors.
