Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a part-time Bilingual Gift Shop Cashier to support the Gift Shop Manager. The role involves promoting, retailing and merchandising religious materials, greeting customers, handling sales, and assisting with stock and inventory.

Strong English/Spanish communication and Catholic faith are essential. Expect 16 hours per week with schedules Mon-Fri and some weekends; experience in cash handling and operating Square is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• One year experience in retail.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency required.
• Ability to use a cash register and Square; cash handling preferred.
• Sound judgment, professional presence, and teamwork.
• Practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge of Catholic theology.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for periods.
• Flexible to work weekends and varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist Gift Shop Manager with a ministry and evangelization atmosphere.
• Stock, present, and retail merchandise.
• Greet customers and respond to inquiries.
• Monitor inventory and inform manager for reorders.
• Oversee daily sales including cash register and Square.
• Balance and deposit money as necessary.
• Assist with receiving merchandise and verify documents.
• Maintain store appearance and security daily.
• Perform other duties as required.
