Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of PT experience, a DPT or equivalent, and an active Texas license with BLS. Expect a manageable caseload, 8–10 patients daily, and opportunities to lead education and fall-prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of physical therapist experience.
• Geriatric specific experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
• Advanced Microsoft Office platforms including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients using clinical observation and standardized testing to identify physical therapy needs.
• Developing individualized, evidence-based care plans to improve overall function and participation in daily life.
• Providing patient-centered education to improve movement and physical activity for prevention and treatment.
• Utilizing technology to provide additional support and resources to patients and their caregivers.
• Ensuring proper use of equipment and instruction of patients and caregivers on safe handling to promote optimal function and recovery.
• Supervising and offering direction to PTAs and PT interns.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and caregivers to develop patient-specific therapy goals.
• Ensuring patients have a positive experience by providing an elevated level of service promptly, professionally, and empathetically.
• Participating in quality improvement programs and initiatives driven by clinical needs.
• Leading fall prevention classes and completing fall risk screenings.
