Job summary

LifeSkill Behavioral is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will create a welcoming and positive experience for children, families, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong communication, excellent customer service, and attention to detail. You will manage the front desk, schedule appointments, verify insurance, maintain patient records, and support daily

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in front desk, receptionist, administrative, medical, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric, therapy, behavioral health or similar environment is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with children, parents, caregivers, and clinical professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling or EHR systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Reliable, punctual, dependable, and a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist children, families, staff, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Manage front desk and maintain a welcoming, organized environment.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments and therapy sessions.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, therapists, and administrative staff.
  • Verify insurance information and assist with billing and copay-related questions.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Assist with obtaining and organizing required patient documentation.
  • Monitor daily schedules and communicate scheduling changes as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and company policies.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, office supplies, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support the administrative team with daily clinic operations.
  • Help ensure families receive timely, professional, and compassionate assistance.
