Job summary

San Ysidro Health is seeking a front desk patient services representative to greet visitors, register new patients, and assist with funding eligibility and insurance verification. You will enter patient demographics into the Epic system, collect co-pays, and coordinate referrals to support timely access to care.

The role requires at least one year in customer service, preferably in a medical setting, and bilingual Spanish-English abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
• Spanish-English bilingual abilities required; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones, greet and assist visitors and patients.
• Register new patients and verify insurance information.
• Enter patient demographics into Epic system and document funding information.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles at check-in.
• Access funding resources and determine eligibility for discount programs.
• Coordinate referrals and assist with patient access processes.
• Maintain and update fiscal records and respond to information requests.
