Vital Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a friendly Front Desk Patient Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice. You will help patients check in, schedule appointments, and verify records to ensure a smooth visit.

The role requires HIPAA knowledge, EMR proficiency, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. You will collaborate with clinical staff to maintain accurate records and support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced medical setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of front desk or patient coordinator experience in medical settings.
• Familiarity with orthopedic terminology is a plus.
• HIPAA knowledge required.
• Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and general office software.
• Strong communication, patient-first attitude, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsabilités

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Verify and send medical record requests
• Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information in EMR system
• Answer and route incoming phone calls, responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations for orthopedic and spine procedures
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
