Job summary

Sun River Health in Haverstraw, NY seeks a Full Time Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist to welcome patients and manage registrations with warmth and efficiency. You will coordinate appointments, collect fees on a sliding scale, and serve as the first point of contact for diverse patient populations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2–4 years’ experience, and bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School diploma/GED.
• Minimum Work-Related Experience: 2-4 years.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily reception activities and initiate all processes needed for patient services.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients regarding services.
• Handle telephone and mail contact with patients.
• Schedule appointments, collect fees, explain services and charges.
• Distribute patient materials including satisfaction cards and rights materials.
• Verify insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale.
