Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an energetic outside sales professional for the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The role focuses on developing independent accounts, driving profitability through new business and existing account penetration, and promoting company-branded products.

The position requires 2+ years in outside sales, 2+ years in culinary/restaurant operations, and preferred bilingual skills in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
• 2+ years of related outside sales experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of related culinary chef, restaurant ops, or restaurant management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Generate additional business by analyzing territory and customers; sample products; plan sales strategy and approaches.
• Grow sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Set up new customer accounts including pricing and credit authorization; coordinate deliveries and follow up on satisfaction.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with center staff to resolve issues; may make deliveries in emergencies.
• Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitor accounts receivable and enforce credit terms; follow up on problems.
• Track pricing trends within the territory to ensure competitive pricing.
