Job summary

Houston Area Women's Center seeks a Bilingual Case Manager- Economic Empowerment Services to provide one-on-one coaching and connect clients with financial resources. The role focuses on overcoming economic barriers and promoting long-term financial independence while ensuring safety for survivors of violence.

The position is onsite in Houston with travel 25%, offers comprehensive benefits, and requires bilingual English/Spanish, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice or related field
• Or high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of directly related experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in Case Management, Career Counseling, Workforce Development or related
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent reading/writing
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Texas driver’s license and ability to travel

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching to improve financial empowerment and career opportunities
• Assess client needs and set goals/prioritize actions
• Connect clients to community resources and internal supports
• Develop financial knowledge and life skills
• Support savings, housing, and long-term stability
• Facilitate curriculum and deliver financial capability education
• Offer group workshops and case management at multiple locations
• Build relationships with community organizations and partners
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development
• Document outcomes and program performance accurately
• Adhere to safety and OSHA guidelines; report concerns
