Job summary

Dome Construction Corporation seeks a Field Human Resources Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor and resource for field employees and leaders. This role connects onsite realities with broader business needs, builds trust, and ensures fair application of policies and bargaining agreements.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), has 5+ years of field HR experience in construction or unionized settings, and is comfortable traveling to active jobsites across Northern California.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, investigations, performance management, and employment law compliance.
• Experience supporting a field-based, construction, skilled trades, or unionized workforce.
• Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements, union benefits, union rules and regulations, grievance processes, and labor relations practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a regular presence on jobsites, typically two to three days per week, to stay connected to field employees.
• Serve as a trusted HR partner for field employees, Foremen, Superintendents, and Operations leaders.
• Provide real-time coaching on employee relations, performance management, communication, conflict resolution, documentation, and leadership effectiveness.
• Interpret and support the administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Coordinate union dispatching, staffing changes, layoffs, recalls, transfers, and workforce movement between projects.
• Conduct workplace investigations and support corrective action, performance management, and employee documentation.
