Job summary

Sheppard Pratt Careers is hiring a Bilingual Family Support Worker for the Healthy Families program in Gaithersburg, MD. This on-site, full-time position supports at-risk families using the Parents As Teachers curriculum and requires fluency in English and Spanish.

The role schedules Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with a focus on timely assessments, home visits, and collaborative teamwork. A high school diploma is required; a BA in social work or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to balance family needs with program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages a maximum weighted caseload of 24 with timely assessments.
• Work as part of a team, with ability to work independently when needed.
• Establishes service plans with goals and activities with families.
• Conducts home visits and uses Parents As Teachers curriculum.
• Performs timely family observations and documentation within 48 hours.
