Job summary

Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF) seeks a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) to support families dealing with behavioral health challenges. The role requires personal experience as a primary caregiver and residency in Baltimore City or County.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience as a primary caregiver or lived experience with a loved one’s substance use challenges preferred.
• Familiarity with state and local resources helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-to-family support, education, advocacy, coaching, and referrals to families.
• Navigate behavioral health, social, legal, educational and health care systems with families.
• Educate families about resources, rights, and planning for crises.
• Maintain timely documentation of services and outcomes.
