The Village for Families and Children seeks a Quality Parenting Center Specialist to provide structured family visit services under the QPC program in Manchester, CT. You will work with DCF-referred families, conduct weekly visits, and support parents to demonstrate improved parenting skills using a Visit Coaching approach.

Role includes case management, collaboration with bio families and resource families, and coordination with community providers.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a human services role is common but not required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to work independently.
• Flexible and able to multi-task.
• Cultural competency to serve diverse populations.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Experience with inner-city children a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide visitation services to families referred by DCF under Quality Parenting Center.
• Conduct weekly family visits and coordinate with bio-family and substitute caregiver.
• Assist with transportation when needed; coordinate with community services.
• Maintain Visit Coaching model to support parenting skills.
• Complete required clinical documentation and program reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies.
• Collaborate with team on client and program needs.
• Participate in agency committees and community outreach.
