Job summary

Enterprise For Progress In The Community seeks a Family Services Teacher to support developmentally appropriate learning in a Head Start setting in Yakima, WA. You will collaborate with the Team Leader and Classroom Assistants to promote parent involvement and student growth.

The role includes translating for families, conducting home visits, and implementing classroom activities, assessments and safety policies with culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications

• Two years or more classroom work experience in an Infant/Toddler setting.
• Experience delivering family engagement activities and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to translate written and verbal content for families as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultures and languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist parents to transition in and out of the EPIC program with team members.
• Provide written and verbal translation for families as needed.
• Teach in assigned classroom daily and conduct developmental assessments and health screenings.
• Schedule and conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits.
• Maintain required documentation and support safety and supervision policies.
