Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate Bilingual (Spanish/English) Family Service Coordinator to support families of young children eligible for IDEA Part C through our North Beaches Early Steps program. The FSC works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely evaluations, services, and coordinated care.

This full-time role involves travel to family homes and coordination across services to promote optimal child development and family empowerment within the Early Steps journey.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, early childhood, child development, or related field.
• One year of professional experience with young children and families in teaching, case management, counseling, or special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing service coordination for children eligible for Early Steps as the assigned service coordinator.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations, IFSP meetings, and transition planning.
• Support eligibility determinations, monitor interventions, and assist families through transitions from IDEA Part C.
• Promote and strengthen the IFSP team’s ability to identify, access, coordinate, and evaluate services and resources.
• Interview families to gather information on routines, strengths, needs, and developmental concerns.
• Develop timely IFSPs in collaboration with families and team members.
• Communicate IFSP recommendations with providers and coordinate updates every 6 months.
