It Takes A Village Family Of Schools in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Family Support Specialist to provide case management, family engagement, and community resource coordination. You will partner with families and local providers to promote stability, wellness, and academic success.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, a Family Specialist Level 5 Credential (or able to obtain within 60 days), and a minimum of 3 years of experience in family support or case

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Family Studies, or related field.
• Family Specialist Level 5 Credential or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in case management and family support services.
• Experience with Early Head Start/Head Start and DFSS standards preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Case Management: Provide personalized case management services to families by conducting structured family interviews and utilizing assessment tools to identify strengths, needs, and risk factors.
• Family Support & Engagement: Offer direct support to families through one‑on‑one meetings and phone consultations.
• Community Resource Coordination: Connect families to local resources that promote wellness and academic success.
• Workshops & Orientations: Support the Family Engagement Manager in organizing weekly orientations and workshops.
• Outreach & Recruitment: Assist in recruitment initiatives for prospective students and families.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential family records and participate in audits.
