Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (BBBSEM) is seeking a Program Services Coordinator – Youth Volunteer Enrollment to build and sustain mentor matches. You will interview interested parties, conduct reference checks, review legal information, and guide the matching process with care and professionalism.

You will travel to sites and families across Eastern Massachusetts, with remote work some days, to ensure timely enrollment and quality support for youth and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 2+ years in relevant roles
• Ability to travel across Boston area and to constituents' homes
• Full-time availability; evenings and weekends may be required
• Access to reliable internet and phone for remote work

Responsibilities

• Assess volunteers and families through interviews and references
• Prepare interested parties for enrollment and coordinate matching
• Facilitate the initial placement meeting with all parties
• Document information and maintain accurate records
• Advocate for volunteers/youth placement options and update stakeholders
• Collaborate with staff to serve more youth across programs
• Monitor safety and report incidents impacting services
• Represent BBBSEM in communities and public
• Engage in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
• Work as a team on projects/events to drive improvements
