Qualifications

• College preferred but not required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in customer care or similar role.
• Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits or EOB.
• Healthcare knowledge is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Places and receives calls regarding billing insurance questions and other patient service activities.
• Process accounts according to the action required to resolve account balances.
• Communicate with customers, agencies, facilities, and hospitals.
• Research patient accounts to verify health insurance coverages.
• Bill insurance by paper claims and attach documents to patient accounts.
