Job summary

Community Action of Skagit County is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide one-on-one employment coaching and job readiness training to participants in Burlington. This full-time role requires compassionate, motivated individuals who can help clients achieve stable, meaningful employment aligned with their goals.

The position involves 30%–65% fieldwork, outreach to employers, and coordination of worksite placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Human Services or Social Services preferred; Associate Degree is minimum required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in employment placement programs, case management, and assessment.
• Or a combination of education and experience meeting required job qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants with barriers to employment.
• Conduct intake interviews; develop individual employment plans.
• Coordinate worksite placement and interviews for WorkFirst participants.
• Coach participants on job search tools and provide workplace readiness training.
• Maintain confidential participant records and provide reporting and billing information.
