Job summary

Responsibilities include data collection, classroom monitoring, clerical tasks, and collaboration to adapt activities for varied needs. Flexibility for conference hours and school routines is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 48 college credits or pass state-approved assessment.
• Bilingual Spanish/English; read and write in both languages.
• Strong computer usage skills and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily instruction.
• Support students to reach individual objectives.
• Act as interpreter for Spanish-speaking families.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Direct activities to reinforce concepts for individuals or small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers to modify activities for student needs.
• Perform informal assessments and data collection.
• Maintain records of student performance.
• Monitor classroom when teacher is elsewhere; perform clerical tasks.
• Assist in learning centers and instructional materials; other duties as assigned.
