Qualifications

• 60 college hours or Para Pro Exam Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to support instructional and social-emotional needs.
• Assist teachers with team teaching, planning, and daily and emergency classroom routines.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce established expectations to promote a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
• Lead small-group instruction under the direction of a supervising teacher.
• Facilitate communication by providing interpretation and translation services for KCPS stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and staff, as needed.
• Assist with the identification, screening, and assessment of English Learners.
• Participate in conferences, parent meetings, team meetings, professional development, and other assigned meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
