Job summary

The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools seeks an ESL Paraprofessional to collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, coordinate, and carry out instructional activities that support ESL students’ growth. You will assist with individualized and small-group instruction and help manage materials and classroom routines to promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Missouri State Certification in Elementary or Secondary Education.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience in an urban school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in preparing and setting up daily materials.
• Provide instruction to assigned children.
• Assist with implementing the curriculum and communicating with parents.
• Collaborate with teachers in planning and daily routines.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess.
• Assist with grading and progress records.
• Monitor student performance and progress.
