Job summary

Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools HIGH SCHOOL in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional. You will support teachers in planning and delivering instruction, work with students to promote growth, and assist with daily living skills per IEP, while providing coverage and coordination with staff.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in special ed or equivalent, MO secondary certification, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Urban setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education preferred.
• Missouri State Certification in Secondary Education required.
• Bilingual: English required and Spanish preferred.
• Urban school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers in team teaching, team planning, and daily routines.
• Provide group instruction to assigned children.
• Implement individual and group activities to stimulate growth as outlined in the IEP.
• Remain with students for support during all times outside of the Special Education classroom as assigned.
• Provide short-term classroom coverage when the teacher must leave the room.
