Job summary

Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools is seeking an ELD Paraprofessional to support English Learner students under the guidance of certified teachers. The role focuses on reinforcing language development, academic instruction, and social-emotional support within an urban elementary setting.

You will collaborate with ESL staff, assist with assessments, and help differentiate instruction while utilizing Chromebooks and Google Workspace.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 60 college credits or MO ParaPro certification.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Experience with English Learners and urban school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to EL students under certified staff guidance.
• Support language development in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Differentiate instruction and modify materials for English Learners.
• Collaborate with ESL teachers and classroom staff on progress and documentation.
• Supervise students in various school settings as assigned.
• Assist with assessments and language proficiency testing as directed.
• Facilitate use of educational technology to support language development.
• Support students' social-emotional needs and maintain confidentiality under FERPA.
• Engage in professional learning related to English Learners and cultural competency.
• Perform other duties to support the instructional program.
