Job summary

Kenowa Hills Alpine Elementary in Michigan seeks an EL Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction during the school year. The position is 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, under the KHSSA contract.

Qualifications

• Must meet NCLB paraprofessional qualifications.
• Associate degree or equivalent college credits or ParaPro score 460+ is required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English (speaking and writing) preferred.
• Experience with K–12 students and EL students preferred.
• Ability to use age-appropriate language and establish routines.
• Collaborate regularly as part of an instructional team.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to support classroom instruction and learning.
• Ability to process basic paperwork and documentation.
• Availability for after-school/evening meetings; schedules may vary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff.
