Job summary

Kenowa Hills Public Schools is seeking compassionate Special Education Paraprofessionals for LRE/1:1 support at KH Alpine Elementary. You will assist students with disabilities across academics, behavior, communication, and daily living, partnering with teachers, therapists, and families to create inclusive learning environments.

Successful candidates will meet Michigan paraprofessional requirements (Associate's Degree or 60 credits or ParaPro) and complete CPI/Ukeru training.

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan paraprofessional qualification requirements (Associate's Degree or 60 college credits or passing ETS ParaPro)
• CPI and Ukeru training required as district training
• Experience with Pre-K–12 students and diverse learning needs preferred
• Ability to use appropriate language and routines with students
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of IEPs
• Assist students academically in various settings
• Support behavior and social-emotional goals and functional skill development
• Provide instructional support during core instruction, interventions, specials, recess, field trips, and community-based instruction
• Maintain data and documentation related to IEP goals
• Collaborate with staff and families
• Maintain safety and supervise students across environments
