Kenowa Hills Alpine Elementary in Michigan seeks an EL Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction during the school year. The position is 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, under the KHSSA contract.
Minimum qualifications include meeting NCLB paraprofessional requirements, an associate degree or 460+ on ParaPro, and bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Attendance and teamwork are essential, with opportunities to attend after-school meetings.

Must meet NCLB (No Child Left Behind) qualifications for paraprofessionals. This includes one of the following:
Proof of an Associate’s degree or equivalent college credits, or
A passing score of 460 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
Fluency in both Spanish and English (speaking and writing) ispreferred
Experience working with K–12 students and English Learner (EL) students is preferred.
Ability to use age-appropriate tone and language with students.
Ability to establish and maintain a consistent daily routine tailored to student needs, and adjust as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively and collaborate regularly as part of an instructional team.
Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness and ability to support classroom instruction to enhance student learning.
Competence in processing basic paperwork and documentation.
Availability to attend after-school and evening meetings; scheduling may vary throughout the school year.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is generally moderate, but can be high at times and temperatures are varied.
