Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking an EHS Specialist to drive environmental, health, and safety compliance at Tracy and Stockton facilities. You will lead training, investigations and risk reduction efforts, working closely with management and operations teams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a California driver's license, and 2+ years in manufacturing with OSHA/EPA knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support diverse staff and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education.
• Valid CA Driver’s License required.
• Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for relationships with employees and managers.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 10, California State and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety procedures and manuals.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written forms.
• Organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS compliance at Tracy and Stockton sites.
• Coach, train and support operations in daily fundamentals.
• Build relationships with managers and staff as EHS resource.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety training seminars.
• Travel between two facilities to support operations.
• Educate staff via weekly safety trainings in English/Spanish.
• Assist in incident management including near misses, hazards and accidents.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings monthly.
• Provide inspections and document findings in Riskonnect.
• Analyze trends, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop site-specific safety procedures and hazards controls.
• Support management on EHS and production projects.
• Escalate issues to leadership promptly.
