Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking a Teacher Special Education ECSE Bilingual for preschool students. The role focuses on instruction in academic, behavioral, communication, independent living, and personal care skills for ages 3‑5 with various disabilities.

You will develop PLAAFPs, annual goals, and IEPs, coordinate with families and school staff, and implement behavior plans and accommodations as outlined by ARD. Bilingual certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching certification issued by TEA for subject/grade.
• Special Education EC‑12 certification or equivalency.
• Bilingual certification required for bilingual assignments.
• CPI de‑escalation/restraint certification preferred or required.
• ABA training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear IEP goals aligned with Pre‑Kindergarten guidelines.
• Plan curriculum with necessary accommodations and adaptations.
• Document progress and maintain support/service logs.
• Administer and analyze district and informal assessments.
• Develop PLAAFP and annual goals from assessments.
• Prepare age‑appropriate lesson plans based on IEPs.
• Use adaptive tech to aid learning, communication, mobility.
• Apply behavioral strategies per ARD; intervene if needed.
• Provide health services under nurse supervision.
