Job summary

Khan Academy Kids is seeking an early childhood educator and learning‑content developer to build and strengthen learning activities and assessments for PreK through 2nd grade. The role covers bilingual English/Spanish content and direct assessments across early literacy, language, math, and executive function.

Working with a small interdisciplinary team, you will identify gaps, revise assessments, and improve authoring tooling while ensuring content is rigorous and engaging.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing educational content or teaching.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience with early-learning standards (Head Start ELOF, Common Core, state PreK).
• Ability to use data and learner feedback to improve content.
• Willingness to learn JSON and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Author high-quality, standards-aligned learning activities and assessment items in English and Spanish for PreK through 2nd grade.
• Map content coverage across the Khan Academy Kids library and identify gaps.
• Revise and improve existing assessments based on data and analyses.
• Author and test new assessment items with children and educators.
• Learn and leverage content-authoring infrastructure and collaborate with product/engineering.
• Coordinate with creative teams on assets and audio requests.
• Serve as editorial reviewer for content in English and Spanish.
