Children’s Aid in New York City seeks a Teacher’s Aide to support the education team in delivering developmentally appropriate curricula and individualized student support. You will help ensure readiness for Kindergarten and adhere to Head Start standards within a collaborative learning environment.

In this role, you will assist with classroom activities, small group instruction, and family engagement, while maintaining records and participating in ongoing professional development.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED; must meet Federal Head Start, NYC DOHMH Article 47, and Universal Pre-K requirements.
• Pre-K or Toddler CDA credential required for applicable classroom assignment, or enrollment in an approved CDA credential plan with completion within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children; experience supporting children with special needs preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required or strongly preferred based on program needs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and team members in a professional manner.
• Commitment to early childhood education and ongoing professional growth, with confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Mansioni

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing the designed curriculum and ensure activities are age-appropriate and aligned with learning objectives.
• Prepare and organize materials and learning centers for daily lessons and activities.
• Conduct small group activities under the lead teacher’s guidance and monitor student progress.
• Work one-on-one with students needing extra help and support individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support family engagement by communicating with parents and organizing conferences and events.
• Assist in data collection, observations, and documentation of child development.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and supportive classroom environment.
