Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations - Paraprofessional or Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to work well with students and staff.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and monitors small group and one-on-one instruction to present, guide and reinforce skills.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of work with students and staff.
• Updates records of student progress, attendance, test scores and personal information as requested.
• Prepares instructional materials for use in class or pull-out groups.
• Provides supervision before/after school and during lunch/recess as assigned.
