Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Indianapolis is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and achieve our sales and service objectives. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, store systems familiarity and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers.

You will help customers in-person and over the phone, stock and maintain inventory, and perform DIY services such as battery installation and wiper changes.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
