Job summary

Lukos in Florence, AZ is seeking a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detention facilities and staff. You will assist detained noncitizens, coordinate services, and respond to requests to ensure safety and well-being within the detention environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Social Work or Psychology, fluency in English and Spanish, and 2+ years serving vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

Degree issuing institution must be accredited by US DOE.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required
Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral

Responsibilities

Assist detained noncitizens with needs, requests and complaints.
Support ERO staff with parent/child communication and welfare issues.
Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities as requested by ERO HQ.
Facilitate discussions and provide information on sexual abuse, pregnancy, housing, and other sensitive topics.
Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
Refer noncitizens to appropriate care and follow-up services.
Support special housing units and programs for vulnerable populations.
Perform wellness checks and follow-ups as requested by ERO.
