Job summary

Benevis is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. You will assist dentists, manage patient flow, educate patients on oral care, and help with imaging and sterilization tasks.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to standards, and teamwork across offices. High school diploma or GED required, Spanish a plus; X-ray/Card credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED required.
• X-ray certification preferred according to state practices.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus (location dependent).
• Perform to high integrity with government regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures.
• Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste and impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist staff with treatment: document information, suctioning, retractors, suture cutting, cast trimming, and impressions.
• Adhere to all regulations and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
