Job summary

Zufall Health in New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant who reports to the site manager with clinical oversight from SVP of Dental Services. The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients, as well as sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of all instruments and supplies.

Travel between sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of dental assisting techniques for general dentistry.
• Ability to assist dentist and hygienist with patient care and radiographs.
• Familiar with infection control and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chair-side assistant to dentist and hygienist.
• Prepare operatory and assist with patient treatment as directed.
• Exposes/ develops dental radiographs per state regulations and protocol.
• Maintain sterilization, inventory, and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure accurate patient records and confidentiality per HIPAA.
