Job summary

Sonrava Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide exceptional chair-side support, ensuring patient comfort and high-quality care. You will assist doctors, prepare radiographs, and help maintain smooth daily operations in a fast-paced dental practice.

The role emphasizes patient education, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA/OSHA guidelines while contributing to a positive patient experience and efficient clinic workflow. Strong communication and organization are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with excellent chair-side manner by making the patient the priority.
• Be present and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
• Take direction from the doctor and assist with all dental procedures, anticipating needs.
• Take, develop and mount accurate radiographs.
• Review patient charts prior to doctor arrival, log data and health history.
• Prepare equipment and operatory by cleaning and sterilizing per guidelines.
• Maintain schedule and patient flow with efficient procedures.
• Educate patients and address questions or concerns.
• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver an extraordinary patient experience.
• Partner with doctors, hygienists, and staff to maintain service quality.
• Assist front office with scheduling and lab case tracking.
• Monitor dental supplies and order as needed using formulary.
• Promote Sonrava services and retail products.
• Complete checklists and participate in daily huddles.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Follow OSHA and BBP regulations and complete all LMS requirements.
