Customer Service Specialist - Part-Time

Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They are also expected to resolve customer concerns promptly, ensure high client satisfaction, stay updated on product features, and maintain the store's visual standards. The role involves achieving excellent customer service while meeting sales goals.

Job duties include contact with customers, which may involve minors; access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuable items, under supervised or unsupervised conditions. A criminal history review is required to protect the business, its reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, vendors, and the public.

This is a PART-TIME position based at the following stores:

  • #1667, 390 N State St, Orem, UT 84057
  • #8045, 268 N State St, Orem, UT 84057
Responsibilities
  1. Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  2. Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  3. Build trustful relationships with customers.
  4. Accurately process sales transactions following policies and procedures.
  5. Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  6. Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
  7. Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  8. Tint and mix products according to customer specifications.
  9. Stock shelves and set up displays.
  10. Clean store equipment.
  11. Assist with deliveries when needed.
  12. Keep assigned areas in-stock and presentable.
  13. Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers.
  14. Follow inventory control procedures.
  15. Suggest ways to improve sales.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Capable, with or without accommodations, of retrieving items from shelves and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Willing to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
  • Experience selling paint and related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
