Job summary

SouthernCarlson is hiring a bilingual Counter Sales Representative in Oklahoma City. You’ll be the branch face, helping customers find the right solutions while delivering exceptional service and supporting daily operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in construction supply, knowledge of fasteners/power tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. This is an onsite role with base pay plus commission based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in construction supply, building materials, or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of fasteners, power tools, or pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong math skills with ability to calculate pricing and margins.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and phone support to customers by identifying needs and recommending the right products.
• Build relationships with customers by delivering knowledgeable, high-energy service.
• Proactively reach out to existing and potential customers to drive sales growth.
• Prepare quotes and process orders accurately using ERP systems.
• Stay up to date on product lines, vendor offerings, and construction industry trends.
• Maintain showroom organization, stock levels, and promotional displays.
• Coordinate with outside sales, service teams, and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.
