Northeast Independent Living Program, Inc. is seeking a Community Supports Specialist and Options Counselor in Lawrence, MA.

You will assist individuals with disabilities in choosing long-term care resources, educating them on available services, and guiding them through complex public and private programs. The role emphasizes non-biased counseling, information sharing, and advocacy to enable independent community living.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Human Service or a related field.
• Relevant experience in health, social service, education or rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of MassHealth programs, services and eligibility criteria.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Teams, mobile devices and apps.

Responsabilités

• Provide non-biased counseling on long term care options.
• Educate consumers about public, private and informal services available.
• Assist consumers in navigating state, federal and community services and benefits.
• Support with applications for Social Security disability benefits, MassHealth, housing, etc.
