Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is hiring a Community Resource Specialist - Bilingual Spanish for the Vallejo First 5 Center. The CRS will build trusting relationships with families, navigate community resources, and support early learning through parent education and playgroups.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and ASQ experience, with a focus on equity, cultural humility, and collaboration with diverse partners. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required to serve families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of experience with young children and families.
• At least 1 year of professional ASQ experience.
• Experience collaborating with community agencies and family-serving systems.
• Preferred: experience in facilitating developmental playgroups or family-centered programs.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Engage families to identify goals and connect them with community resources.
• Support parent leadership initiatives and organize advisory meetings.
• Conduct ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE developmental screenings with families.
• Coordinate screenings and support access to early intervention services.
• Lead parent education and development playgroups for ages 0–5.
