Job summary

4Cs Of Alameda County is seeking a Child Care Services Specialist (Family Services) who is bilingual and committed to helping families access child care resources and payments. The role reports to the Supervisor, Family Services Unit, in a full-time, non-exempt capacity.

Responsibilities include eligibility work, documentation collection, intake processing, and coordinating with families and providers while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred with 1–2 years of case management and customer service experience.
• Bilingual ability is required.
• Transportation is required for this position.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a professional working relationship with participants in the program.
• Request and collect documentation for need and eligibility per CDSS rules.
• Maintain need and eligibility for a caseload of ~160 children; update files timely.
• Explain rules/regulations and assist participants through program processes.
• Assist with orientation, referrals, and outside resources for families.
• Maintain confidentiality and cover front desk when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
