Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking 3 temporary non-benefitted Community Engagement Ambassadors (Recreation Leaders) to outreach to diverse communities and support program development and events in Seattle. Candidates should have at least one year in community recreation and an associate degree, with strong language skills and cultural awareness.

Flexible scheduling and on-site work within Seattle City limits.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a community-based recreation program or related field.
• Associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in community engagement, outreach, and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to underrepresented residents and communities to promote City programs and resources.
• Prepare culturally relevant promotional materials for SPR events and activations.
• Assist with coordinating and supporting Community Engagement Ambassadors and events.
• Maintain records and documentation of hours, attendance, activations, and events.
• Attend monthly community meetings and assist with engagement and marketing strategies.
