Job summary

HOPE Clinic in Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Family & Internal Medicine department. The role involves clinical and administrative duties to keep the practice running smoothly.

You will collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain procedures, and assist with basic examinations under supervision. Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills are a plus in a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in healthcare or related field preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification required or obtainable within 3 months.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Competency in front desk, eligibility and check out procedures.
• Place patients in exam rooms, obtain history and vital signs, and document in the medical records.
• Assist in examinations and procedures for patients with provider.
• Provide treatments as ordered such as immunizations and injections.
• Discharge patients with provider instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with departments to cover MA duties as needed.
• Provide education and translation assistance as needed.
